D&AD New Blood entry
Overview:
Inuktitut the Melting Language is a typography-led project raising awareness on the issue of Climate Emergency. With this phenomenon, northern lands are disappearing, leaving the Inuits among other tribes with the only choice to migrate. As they are forced to move to bigger cities, their language the Inuktitut is going along the integration process as they are adapting to the new way of living in the modern communities. And the new style of living causes them less need to use their language.
Project brief:
Design a typography-based project that reflects on culture and etymology and attributes the variability of graphemes and alphabets.
Methods:
After adequate research on the Inuktitut language, I designed their collection of syllables (Inuktitut alphabet) in 3D. Once produced all the images, I created a booklet showcasing the project.
